But here’s the catch: you have to balance the wattage with the length of the tube. If you cram too much power into a short tube, you get great heat density, but you’ll burn through the quartz way too fast. We do the math on the watt-density for you so your lamps actually last. Getting them running These are meant to be drop-in replacements. As long as your connectors match, you’re good to go. Just a heads-up: when you go with a custom shape, those irregular bends can sometimes create “hot spots” at the curves.
