Getting the shape right
Sometimes you need the heat to wrap around the workpiece. Maybe you’ve got a specific bend radius or a weirdly short space. We just build the lamp to match. We use high-purity quartz, too, so these things don’t just snap or burn out the moment you start cycling the temperature. But here is the tricky part: the balance between wattage and length. If you put too much power into a tiny lamp, you create a “hot spot.” If that hits the glass too hard, you’re looking at thermal shock—and that usually means broken glassware. We spend the time calibrating that ratio so your temperature stays stable and your glass stays intact.
The nuts and bolts of installation
We design these as drop-in replacements. We keep the wiring simple because we know the last thing you want during maintenance is to re-tool your entire rack. You just swap them out and get back to work. One quick heads-up, though. Custom shapes can be a bit finicky if they aren’t supported right. Make sure your mounting brackets are lined up perfectly. If the lamp sags or accidentally touches the furnace wall, it’s going to fail way sooner than it should. Give it a little breathing room, and it’ll last.
